Soft washing is an intricate and tactful approach for cleaning delicate surfaces. Certain materials such as Silicone Rendor and a Metal Façade, should only be cleaned by soft washing using the right chemicals and ratios ensuring that one doesn’t jeopardise the appearance and cause material damage.

We use a low-pressure soft wash technique which lifts the dirt and removes organic stains from the surface. The whole process requires a little more care to ensure the material is cleaned without damaging the exterior.

Benefits of Soft washing

  • Cleaning those dirty surfaces that need a more delicate approach
  • Using our optional biocide treatment will keep the surface cleaner for longer, preventing the re-growth of mold, mildew, and algae.
  • Our cleaning approach penetrates deeper into the surface and addresses the root cause.
  • We use eco-friendly cleaning products, minimizing environmental impact using a minimal amount of water.

Soft washing is a relatively new idea started in America by a man called AC Lockyer in 1992. He used his background in horticulture to look at the problem of algae streaking on buildings, patios and driveways in a different way.

Instead of using traditional pressure washing equipment commonly used in the exterior cleaning industry, he went with a totally chemical approach. This “completely chemical” without the use of high pressure was called the Mallard System.

Since then, Ac Lockyer’s idea has been copied and adopted by numerous companies and used all over the world and is still used today.
